Under the central theme Capital in Motion, this year’s reception will explore how capital – financial, industrial, and human – can be mobilised to drive sustainable, long-term value creation across African markets. The evening will reflect on the role of investment, innovation, and partnerships in building resilient value chains and inclusive economic growth.

Traditionally bringing together over 150 representatives from both the private and public sectors, including NABC members and African Ambassadors, the New Year’s Reception has long served as a dynamic platform for exchange among like-minded entrepreneurs and decision-makers.

As of 2026, the New Year’s Reception will be a member-exclusive event, offering NABC members a focused and high-level setting to network, exchange insights on doing business in Africa, and gain an overview of NABC’s priorities and activities for the year ahead.

The programme will also feature an inspiring keynote from AAAS Energy, winner of the 2025 Doing Business in Africa Award, highlighting how innovative approaches and strategic investments can translate ambition into impact.
