Senegal is characterised by an increased demand for animal protein. With good veterinary care, high quality imported inputs, and continued industralisation and investment to create a dynamic and efficient poultry sector, Senegal is well-positioned to be considered as your preferred country to do business with.
In close cooperation with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dakar, and the Agricultural Network, NABC is, therefore, organising a fact-finding poultry mission to Senegal for March 2023. The mission’s focus encompasses the entire poultry value chain from farm to fork, including but not limited to: education/training and poultry management software, feed production, slaughter and (further) processing of meat, egg processing, cold chain control (including local logistics), and waste management. Dutch technology and expertise can contribute to (further) develop the overall sustainable production of the Senegalise poultry value chain.
PARTICIPATION PACKAGE AND COSTS
This fact-finding mission will provide you with the opportunity to:
- See the realities of the Senegalese poultry sector at local level;
- Gain valuable market insights, assess opportunities on the ground, and mitigate risks in exploring new markets;
- Meet relevant Senegalese counterparts to build your network, and to exchange knowledge.
The participation fee for NABC members is 600€ and for non-members 900€. The price includes participation in the collective programme components and collective local transport. The travel, food and accommodation costs are for your own account.
