    Tanzania is a dynamic and growing market with abundant resources and a strategic location in East Africa. Its commitment to sustainable development offers numerous opportunities for Dutch companies.

    Focus Areas of the Mission:

    1. Sustainable Agriculture and Agro-processing:

    a. Introduce solutions for future-proof agriculture production (e.g. horticulture, seeds, crop protection, inputs).
    b. Develop partnerships in innovative packaging solutions to minimise waste and extend the shelf life of fresh products.
    c. Exploring value addition to agricultural goods through processing.

    2. Renewable Energy:

    a. Exploring opportunities in solar and hydro sources.
    b. Enhancing waste management and recycling systems (WtE) to support a circular economy.

    3. Infrastructure:

    a. Exploring infrastructure such as railway/airport terminals and port facilities for enhancing transportation and improved cold-chains.
    b. Development of facilities such as pack-houses and cold storage.

  • NABC will develop the content of the programme in detail (in collaboration with the Tanzania Investment Centre) based on the various stakeholders’ wishes and Dutch company expertise. At the same time, NABC will ensure that what is proposed is addressing local needs and interests. What we propose below is a preliminary programme and subject to changes. Final details will be confirmed later.

  • Date: 2nd-4th December 2024.

    Fees: 2.250 EUR (NABC Members) and 2.750 EUR (Non-Members). There is a possibility to apply for the RVO’s Support International Business grant (SIB) to cover 50% or 80% (green activities) of the fees with the maximum eligible amount of €1,500.We will provide support through the application.

    N.B. limited number of vouchers available.

    Included/excluded in the fees: the following is included: preparation of the mission, a 3-day programme with present support from NABC and TIC, local ground transport, a Trade and Investment Forum with tailor-made B2B matchmaking sessions to suit your needs and 2 days of relevant field visits. Excluded are flight tickets, hotel costs and meals.
    If there is enough interest, we can also offer a cultural programme of 2 extra days (e.g. Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro).

    Informative session before the mission: At least 2 weeks before the mission, we will organise an information meeting for all participants to get to know each other and discuss all the details about the mission.
