Amira joined NABC as a Project Assistant in March 2025. Her role consists of assisting the Marketing team with the creation, implementation, and execution of NABC’s marketing and communication activities. Additionally, she supports the Africa Insights Desk by implementing projects promoting sustainable trade and investment facilitation between Africa and the Netherlands.
Her undergraduate degree was completed at Erasmus University Rotterdam studying the Management of International Social Challenges. Amira continued her educational journey by pursuing a Master in Public Administration; specialised in International and European Governance at Leiden University.
Before coming to the Netherlands, Amira completed her International Baccalaureate Diploma in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Growing up in an international environment has sparked her passion of continuously connecting with people and learning new cultures. Throughout her study years, Amira interned for an NGO in Athens focused on entrepreneurship and social economy, has worked under the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate representing the German Pavilion for two exhibitions in Dubai, U.A.E and worked as a social media manager for various businesses.
What motivates Amira is her cosmopolitan background, being German and Egyptian, she believes in the importance of fair representation and the commitment to always preserve in topics that challenge today’s world. Her motto in life, inspired by her dad, ”being angry is for free; be happy and kind instead”.
