Atradius in a detailed report explains the economic situation of many countries in Sub Saharan Africa. The Covid 19 pandemic has in some ways created an economic imbalance for many countries which has led to severe debt problems. Due to the pandemic, many countries have faced drastic economic downturns this year resulting in unequal regional economic contraction. The economic progress that some countries would have been able to rely on is lost, the countries who are also indebted do not have that opportunity to support their economies compared to many in developed economies. This report highlights series of issues although it agrees that health crisis has been averted but with a large economic cost. The pandemic brought tourism to a standstill because this contributed a lot to the economy for some African countries, the outbreak of the pandemic also brought a major decline to the demand for commodities amongst others. Therefore, it is going to take a lot for the economy of these countries to recover. Also, the recovery rate is dependent on how their economy was fairing before the crisis and how strong the structure of the economy is.  For more information, please visit www.atradius.com
