Whether you are looking for equipment that can process vegetables at an industrial scale, or solution for cold storage of the  vegetables, NABC member Allround Vegetable Processing can supply solutions for this.

Allround is a Dutch company rooted in the Dutch ‘seed valley,’ north of Amsterdam, and has traditionally been strong on the European, American and Indian markets. “But now we have made Africa our top priority,” said Rob Beemster, who is the secretary of the board. “The machines that we supply can play a large role in upscaling food production in the fast-growing countries,” said Mr. Beemster.

Allround has already been active in Zambia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria and Tunisia and is now planning a large expansion, starting in Kenya. ‘We have developed the concept of the Dutch Distribution Center. Such centers can be situated close to cities, and serve as hubs where agricultural produce can be brought, and stored. From there, the products will go to the supermarkets. Therefore our customers include for example farmers’ cooperatives, but they can also be government entities or large investors.’

The factory in India where Allround machines are produced are up to the same standards as the plant in Andijk, the Netherlands, Mr. Beemster said, and is doubling capacity. “Although we notice that at times we sell the smaller machines in Africa, we also see that investors who need to produce large volumes are willing to get the large machines and production lines,” according to Mr. Beemster. “Our products can be used for many different products but we are mainly specialised in potatoes, onions, carrots and tomatoes. Our staff is highly familiar with those products and the ways they need to be handled after harvesting.”
