Webinar: Sustainable Agriculture in Benin


The webinar on Sustainable Agriculture in Benin was held on the 3rd of April 2025, from 14:00 to 15:15, as part of the Sustainable Agriculture and Water Trade Mission to Benin. Hosted by the Dutch Embassy in Cotonou, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Chambre du Commerce et d’Industrie du Bénin, and supported by NABC, the session provided key insights into the agricultural landscape in Benin.

Experts from both the Beninese and Dutch agricultural sectors discussed pressing challenges such as climate change, low productivity due to limited access to inputs, and barriers to market access. They also shared innovative solutions, including climate-smart agriculture, crop diversification, and improved access to technology and resources.

Participants learned about the support offered by the Beninese government and the benefits of investing in Benin’s agricultural sector, with practical examples from successful Dutch companies. The webinar also highlighted the resources available through RVO and how companies can leverage these opportunities to enter or expand within the Beninese market. The session concluded with a panel discussion on overcoming sectoral challenges, followed by a Q&A with industry experts.
