The globe is undergoing an energy transition with Western-countries pursuing increasingly green/renewable energy sources towards a Net-Zero-Emissions Target in 2050. Simultaneously, a lot of developing countries are looking at gas, in particularly LPG, as a solution for their energy demands especially for cooking and its many other applications.
Globally, LPG has great success stories particularly in developing countries transitioning from cooking fuels such as firewood and charcoal to clean LPG amongst which include Brazil, India and Indonesia. Whilst the Western-countries maintain to view LPG as a Fossil Fuel albeit a clean one, numerous African countries are embracing LPG as ‘the solution’ for their energy demand starting with cooking but also for autogas, power generation and its versatile other applications.
During this webinar, we ask experts from this field the question: what role can LPG play in Africa’s energy transition?
