  • Practical information
  • As part of the Netherlands Pavilion at the Sahara Exhibition in Cairo, Egypt, the NABC, LWFC and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Cairo are organising a seminar on Climate Adaptation on 13 September 2022, from 2:30 – 4:30 pm.

    Seminar Description
Although there is a strong need for a boost of agricultural production in Egypt, harsh weather conditions put farming at risk. Adaptation can help farmers to become more resilient. Satellite information can be useful to improve water management at farm level or to detect diseases at an early stage. A healthy soil will reduce stress of the crops. Mechanisation and improved storage technology will lead to a better quality and access to markets. Combining various innovative technologies will make farming more appealing to young entrepreneurs, but also robust and future-proof. The seminar ‘Many faces of Climate Adaptation’ will inspire the agricultural society, and especially young professionals, to tackle the issues in bilateral partnerships.

The seminar will take place during the agricultural show Sahara Exhibition 2022 (Cairo), from 2:30 till 4:30 pm. Attendance is free, but early registration is recommended due to limited space.
