  • As we move closer and closer to achieving diversity, the question arises: is it enough to reach real equality? While there are more women occupying middle to senior management roles, being appointed as CEOs, and starting their own enterprises, we must wonder if their experiences are the same as those of their male counterparts? Zoom in on the 6th European Union – African Union Summit and you will quickly conclude that the answer is a no. (Not sure what we are referring to? Click here and watch.) Even when holding the most powerful position in one of the most influential government bodies in Europe, does not mean that you will be treated with the same level of respect as the male colleagues standing beside you. In order to achieve equality, we must go beyond diversity.

The NABC, under the Nana Benz Business Club, invites you to the 6th edition of the Women’s Day Africa Business Club, held on the 17th of March from 15:00 – 18:00 PM CET, addressing the topic of Going Beyond Diversity: Building Inclusive Business Models. The discussion will focus on elaborating on the importance of cross-sectional gender-sensitive policies in the workplace, applying a gender-sensitive approach to building inclusive programs and business initiatives, and tackling ways to increase women’s participation in traditionally male-driven fields.

DUE TO COVID-19 RELATED MATTERS, THIS FOLLOWING EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED.
