SkillEd offers an e-learning platform that enables users to (co-)create, follow and download courses for offline use and sharing (via the SkillEd Android app). The platform is optimized for use in areas with limited, unreliable or no internet. The content focus is on skills (agriculture, soft skills, business development etc.), the functional focus on ease of use, flexibility and collaboration, and the delivery focus on portability; mobile first, light-weight, offline usage and sharing (via Bluetooth, SD card or USB stick). SkillEd delivers an integrated solution for blended learning, which focuses on combining a limited number of direct training meetings with distance learning on smartphones or other devices. SkillEd offers tools for blended learning under all circumstances (on- and offline). Learners do their assignments remotely, and share these with trainers. Since the way of learning can be made very visual, it is fit for all. Courses can be set up flexibly, from vocational training, to training of a complex set of skills. All materials can be easily produced in any language. SkillEd, works in over 17 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. SkillEd supports local and international parties with the transition of their conventional (face-to-face) curricula to effective blended training.
