Marina joined NABC in April 2022 as a Junior Account Manager. In her role she is responsible for managing the accounts, receivables, and payables of the organisation. In order to do so, Marina works closely together with the Interim Finance Manager and Managing Director, the programme managers of the strategic programmes and Africa Insights Desk, and the HR and Operations Manager.
Marina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, in Moscow Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia where she also worked in accounting teams of different companies.
During her time in Scotland, Marina studied UK Accounting and also worked in the Accounts Payable team for GE Oil and Gas. After moving to Groningen, The Netherlands, she started her own private company in the flower export business. During 6 years of importing and exporting the flowers, worked with many flower farmers, including farms in Kenya and Ethiopia.
Marina finds private business fascinating, especially the agricultural sector, and believes in the great impact of private businesses on local social economic development.
After moving to The Hague, Marina proceeded to learn accounting, this time Dutch accounting standards. She joined NABC in the role of Junior Accountant, in April 2022, hoping to support the team to work at its best and to achieve the corporate goals.
