Emily Umpleby

Emily joined the NABC in 2019 as Project Manager for the GrowCongo! Invest in Agriculture, an international forum with a focus on promoting investments in Congolese agriculture.

Prior to joining the NABC, Emily was responsible for the implementation of cooperation projects between Europe and Africa in the field of rural electrification and strove to provide day-to-day support to local companies in Mali and Burkina Faso and was the main point of contact for the development aid subsidised contracts (mainly EU).

On top of a solid scientific education, Emily has 20 years of experience of in coordinating various Private-Public projects in the development aid sector, logistics and biotech. Emily grew up in an international environment and had the opportunity to study, work and live in various European cities.

She joined the NABC again in July 2021 to support the African Policy Dialogue (APD) Mali.

Emily Umpleby is the NABC’s first point of contact for questions relating to Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso and the Republic of Congo.
