Dennis Acquaye

Dennis is responsible for coordinating NABC’s Africa-focused expert network (the Africa Insights Desk). Moreover, he provides process facilitation services (regarding SME-financing, and agricultural value chain development) to private sector and non-enterprise actors. Prior to joining NABC, Dennis worked as a Project Officer for the Prince Claus Fund, a Global-South development organisation. There he was responsible for monitoring and evaluating economic rejuvenation projects in Vietnam.

While conducting a field-study in Ghana, he observed that market-led approach, albeit its flaws, is essential to the development of Africa’s productive capabilities. Hence Dennis is committed to being a knowledge-and-expertise broker between Dutch private sector and their African counterparts. His specific interest lies in assisting Dutch private sector supply intermediate technologies and apply frugal innovations in the realm of SME-finance, waste management, and (climate) smart agriculture in Africa.

Dennis is an Erasmus University-trained Cultural Economist (MA). He is a Dutch national with Ghanaian heritage, speaks Dutch, English, and Twi. Get in touch with Dennis to discuss issues regarding SME-finance, waste management and (climate) smart agriculture on the African continent.
