Target group: for all Dutch companies with an interest in the West African market active in the horticulture sector.
From 11-15 March, NABC and Inclsve as part of the HortiFresh program, will organize a trade mission to Ghana for Dutch companies. HortiFresh is a 3- year program (successor of GhanaVeg), financed by the NL Embassy in Accra and aims for commercial fruit and vegetable sector development in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. It aims for a competitive and innovative high-value fruit and vegetable sector and the sustainable and inclusive growth of this sector. This is done through capacity building, access to finance (matching funding), marketing and business planning support and further professionalizing the sector through business platform meetings, public private dialogues etc.
During the trade mission your company will be connected to the HortiFresh network of local growers, agribusiness, distributors and other relevant horticulture stakeholders which can become a potential partner, client or supplier. The mission will focus on (improved) inputs and soil enhancement. Therefore, the target group of this mission are Dutch companies that offer this kind of solutions, ranging from seeds, (biological) fertilizer, biological crop protection, substrates, soil analysis. Secondly, the mission will target Dutch companies that offer (innovative) agricultural services. Thirdly, as there is a high demand for locally applicable packaging and processing solutions, the mission is also interesting for companies that provide processing technology and packaging solutions. For the 2-3 target groups tailored programs can be developed.

The costs for the trade mission are 800 euro excl. VAT. This mission fee excludes the international flight, accomodation and food costs. It does include organizational costs and local (collective) transport.
Recently, the Dutch Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Carola Schouten, visited one of the locations of the HortiFresh program at Joekopan, a commercial farm in Ghana. With her visit she has shown support for the HortiFresh program and its mission to further develop a sustainable and competitive market in the fruit and vegetable sector in Ghana.
