Zimbabwe is open for business
The new dispensation issued by Government at the beginning of the year, marks a new era in the Zimbabwean economy, wherein the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act provides investors with an opportunity to acquire public and private assets in order to target foreign investment which will help to capacitate and rebuild Zimbabwe’s industries.

Smart Cities/Smart Mobility
Cities all around the world struggle with questions on how to deal with Smart Cities, how do we need to change the policy, how to (re-)develop cities, et cetera. Also Harare has to deal with these dilemma’s and is in desperate need of innovation. But there is also a big chance for innovative entrepreneurs.
In the heart of the South African continent, Zimbabwe has a strong starting position to become a leading country in this development of whole South-Africa. The high density of smartphones can support travel pattern research but also gives the possibility to implement 'Smart City and Mobility' as a 'service concept'. There is a low depreciation of infrastructure and a growing demand for human and freight transport in Zimbabwe and the countries around Zimbabwe. Additionally, there are good possibilities for solar and hydro energy and no boundaries on old-fashioned policy, regulations and systems. New and innovative thinking will be needed to create integral energy, urban and infrastructure development.
