The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa estimated that #COVID-19 will shave 2.9 percentage points off of Ethiopia's economic growth for the fiscal year 2020. The pandemic has had a noticeable impact, particularly on the top sector of the country’s flower export. However, Ethiopia took its preventive measures (suspending many international flights, the spreading of WHO-recommended practices, free sanitary provisions, closures of schools and bars, mass disinfection, and a complete transport lockdown) relatively early. This webinar discusses the advantages and outcomes of the early implementation of COVID-measures, its impact on foreign investment, and the opportunities and challenges surrounding COVID-19.

For this reason, companies already active or interested in entering the Ethiopian markets are invited to join NABC on Thursday 28th of May, 11:00 - 12:30 (CET), for the Doing Business in Ethiopia Webinar tackling the following topic: How to build stronger trade ties between the Netherlands and Ethiopia post COVID-19?
