The East African economies (Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Sudan and Uganda) are experiencing rapid growth, with average growth rates of 6% per year. The region is, as such, one of the fastest growing consumer markets on the African continent as well as the world.
The event kicks off with a keynote speaker who will speak about the broad range of business opportunities that exist in East Africa. Following this opening will be several break-out sessions, where you can choose to attend the sessions; (1) doing business in East Africa, (2) agri-food and export finance, (3) IT, (4) renewable energy or (5) social enterprise.
After this are the information market and network drinks. Trade officers and agricultural council members from The Netherlands embassies in East Africa will be present at both. In addition, there will be private sector experts from the sectors; agri-food, water, energy (fossil and renewable), life science & health, infrastructure and logistics, and social enterprise on hand for questioning.
