In 2014 NABC continues with its tour throughout the Netherlands. Last year, the Africa Business Club (ABC) has been organised in for instance Eindhoven and Rotterdam. This time we gather at the biggest airport of the Netherlands: Schiphol.
Fast Forward Freight, specialised in aviation industry with transportation, distribution and warehousing solutions, offer their venue for the first Africa Business Club of 2014. Located at Schiphol, Fast Forward Freight is the excellent partner to focus on the themes 'Cargo & Logistics'. We also organize in cooperation with Qatar Airways and Swissport Logistics an optional tour around Schiphol.
Note that the ABC of February will take place on the second Thursday of the month due to spring break. We are looking forward meeting you on the 13th at Schiphol.

Schiphol Tour: NABC and Fast Forward Freight organize a tour around Schiphol prior to the official opening of the Business Club. In cooperation with Qatar Airways and Swissport, you can have a look how Fast Forward Freight operates behind the scenes.
Make sure to bring a valid identity card (ID, passport, driving license) with you. When registering, please mention your official name and birth date.
The time of the tour (14.00) has not been confirmed yet and depends on the number of participants.
Bob van der Bijl: Bob van der Bijl is the Managing Director of the Netherlands-African Business Council (NABC). Bob holds a Master-degree in Economics and he has been the driver of NABC’s growth since 2007. His responsibilities include business development; government relations; political lobby; consumer markets & (financial) services and advising African governments on trade and investment promotion. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of doing business in Africa, Bob is an expert in exploring business opportunities in Africa.
Pedro Besugo: Communication and Marketing Coordinator at NABC. He the ABC, he will give a quick demonstration of the new website, including the new features such as "My NABC".
Marc Terpstra: is the Chief Executive Officer at Fast Forward Freight. Marc will say a few words about managing cargo in Africa.
Gerard ter Bruggen: is employed at Qatar Airways in which he fulfills the position as Manager Cargo West-Europe. He will shed a light on the challenges in Africa in the fields of cargo and logistics. In particular, we will have a close look at how to overcome these challenges?

The most recent monthly meeting of the Africa Business Club at Schiphol was delighted to welcome a high-level delegation from Benin, including the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Schiphol-based Fast Forward Freight hosted the meeting, which was attended by representatives of over sixty Dutch companies, ranging from SME’s to multinationals. Gerrit Vink of Fast Forward Freight says: “Everyone enjoyed the interesting presentations given by the Netherlands-African Business Council (NABC), Fast Forward Freight and Qatar Airways covering their visions, and the challenges and opportunities in the cargo sector in Africa.
The monthly Africa Business Club - organized by the NABC - is a gathering of Dutch private companies actively engaged in, or interested in, doing business in Africa. The Business Club offers an ideal platform to discuss the latest developments in Africa, and to create new business relations or enhance existing ones. The latest meeting focused on “Cargo, Logistics and Clearing”, while topics covered at other meetings have included Port Development, International Law and Commodity Trade.
